The renowned publisher has appointed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the development team at their internal studio, which is currently working on the anticipated third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Brinkman takes on the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to the game's underwhelming early showing last fall.
Recently, 2K president a key figure informed staff about this decision through an official communication, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had indicated the necessity for a clearer vision.
The president noted that the team is now overhauling Project Ethos with a renewed focus, aiming to address player expectations.
The news echoes a similar step taken by 2K Games in August, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
Here is the entire message from Ismailer's announcement:
Dear Team—
I understand you all just finished your gathering - I hope you’re as excited as I am with the recent updates. Previously I sent you all a note, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this group. You all are some of the most driven and talented creators we have had the opportunity to collaborate with - and we’re looking forward for that relationship to persist.”
Given your hard work and flexibility, especially over the past twelve months, you consistently demonstrate that.
The gamer responses from last autumn’s Project ETHOS playtest was revealing. It validated the appeal of a action-packed game but made clear we still had improvements to make. It uncovered the necessity for a more distinct brand.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the feedback to consideration and overhauled Project ETHOS with a refreshed vision - one that’s positioned to deliver on its promise to our audience.
The trust in this project grows every day. To further the outstanding progress you’ve made, I am thrilled to welcome the new hire as the incoming Lead of the team. Following some time of discussions, he comes aboard us on next week.
Ben’s management and expertise in the competitive gaming genre is considerable, having spent the last 15 years creating and overseeing some of the most well-known franchises in gaming, including Call of Duty: Black Ops, and lately, Apex Legends.
I invite you all in welcoming him soon. We are all looking forward to persist seeing the progress of Project ETHOS in the weeks to follow.
The President

Or take a risk, gamble everything, and pray your group can achieve the highest spot? The decision is in your hands."
The game has not yet received an confirmed debut schedule or platforms, but enthusiasts can expect additional details as development continues.
