Loyal supporters of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was due to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Well-being

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the actors of Wicked

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the popular stage production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and production design.
